Introduction

Established in 1975, Al Naboodah Contracting Company- Civil Engineering Division has achieved a notable record in the field of civil construction.

From a modest beginning we have developed and expanded our activities to the point where we now have considerable expertise and experience in a wide variety of specialist and general civil engineering fields.

We have successfully completed over 600 multi discipline contracts embracing airport development, golf course design and construction, marinas, dams and major earthworks projects. These are in addition to the Division’s core field of activities, which include roadworks, bridgeworks, drainage and utility works.

To facilitate these projects we have an extensive fleet of over 740 trucks and light vehicles, 610 items of heavy equipment, ranging in size from Caterpillar 631 scrapers to pedestrian rollers as well as our own asphalt plants, concrete batching plants and ice making facilities. 

The Division employs a workforce of 6,600 highly trained multinational personnel working under a qualified and motivated, professional management staff of over 670.

Our own in-house resources, state-of-the-art systems and equipment enabling us to undertake civil engineering projects on a turn-key basis to the exacting standards of Client and Consultant alike.

We continually seek alternative methods of construction and innovative solutions to engineering problems not only to ensure our competitive edge, but to maintain our established position in these increasingly competitive markets.

Since 1987, every dimension of our business has seen impressive growth, as is evidenced by our ever-increasing list of Clients. Managing selective expansion and diversification has been the key to our success.

With the addition of new asphalt plants in 2005 and 2006, asphalt production exceeded 500 thousand tonnes and our annual capacity now exceeds 2,500,000 tonnes. Our concrete division, ARCON has 5 modern batchers complete with ice and chilled water plants with a capacity of over 140,000m³ /month.
